Washing your car without water
For a lot of people, washing cars is a big chore because you have to go through the whole ordeal of turning the water on and getting everything wet, even the engine and then leaving it to dry. The whole process is just too long and tiresome that most find that simply wiping the surface of their car is enough.
The mentality is technically the same about cleaning other areas. One would rather just wipe the surface or sweep the floor than go through the whole endeavour of turning the area upside down and having it cleaned. However, the simple process of wiping should also be done properly. There is no excuse to not do it the right way if you won’t be exerting the extra effort of drenching it and then drying it after.
Here are the steps to cleaning your car without water:
Step1: Use a soft cloth – it is important to specify that you should use a soft cloth and not one of those tough ones to clean your car with. Using a towel or a cloth with a rough surface could damage your car and instead of cleaning it for free, you get to spend a lot of money having it repaired.
Use the cloth or the towel to simply dust away the dirt. Using both your hands if you need to, polish chrome for that squeaky clean look and finish.
Step2: Wet wipes – no one ever said you can’t cheat a little, right? You don’t want getting your car wet, but you can achieve practically the same finish by using wet wipes. It doubles as a duster and a wiper.
Use it if you need the help of a little water but not too much. You can use wet wipes to scrub off deep seated dirt and those that do not go off with a little wiping.
Step3: Car Wash Spray - you can likewise use a spray if you really need thorough cleaning but without the water. Some spray can really make your car shine as long as you’re willing to shed a little more effort on it. You can actually use the car wash spray to clean your whole car if you have the time and the effort to do so.
Step4: Inside of the Car – if you’re going to clean the exterior of the car, you might as well clean the inside of your car. However, if you don’t have time to clean outside, the least you can do is vacuum the interior and get rid of any unnecessary mess inside it. This will make your care breathe and you would feel more relaxed driving around in it.
Step5: The Last Resort – if your car cannot be cleaned by the normal means of wiping and spray, it is better to just send your car to car washes. At any time of the year, car washes are open even during frigid conditions. Though you will have to shell out some money, you will be able to get the new car look without lifting a finger.
